Well done, Herman.

Firstly, thanks for sharing your family experiences with allowances.

You must be so proud of your son's initiative and entrepreneurship. And also yourself.

It feels to me that your willingness to pay him has had a huge 'spin off'.

So, what is your 14yr old going to do with the $100? Love to hear what he does.

Cheers

I give my kids an allowance each month but now my 14 year old boy wants to get paid for doing the lawns ($10 for 30 mins of work). So far I've gone with it and it inspired him to go round the neighborhood to mow lawns. He made $100 is one afternoon! I'm still struggling with paying him for doing our own lawn since I see it as one of his chores....however I'm going to let it slide for now.
